We are excited to welcome Equity Bank as the Premier Sponsor of the 2026 SNAP Back Against Hunger Food and Resource Fair!
Through a generous $5,000 sponsorship, Equity Bank is helping Salina Area United Way provide much-needed food, resources, and support to individuals and families throughout our community.
SNAP Back Against Hunger began in 2025 in response to disruptions in SNAP benefits and the growing challenges families face in putting food on the table. During our inaugural event, we served approximately 350 households directly, while partnerships with other local organizations helped us reach an additional 300 households. Together, these efforts resulted in the distribution of nearly 15,000 pounds of food!
As rising grocery prices and everyday expenses continue to stretch household budgets, the need for community support remains. That's why we're bringing SNAP Back Against Hunger back on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, from 4–8 p.m. at Tony's Pizza Events Center.
With the support of community-minded partners like Equity Bank, we're able to bring together local organizations, businesses, and volunteers to connect our neighbors with groceries, essential resources, and additional assistance. This year's event will also feature free children's clothing through Be the Village Boutique, sponsored by Salina Area United Way, providing another way to support families in our community.
