Salina, KS – This Saturday, July 22nd, Jeff Wells Agency, Inc. – American Family Insurance is throwing their 1st Annual Kick It For A Cause Kickball Tournament at The Yard, benefitting Salina Area United Way on the day of the event. Games at the event will start at 9:00am on Saturday and run all day through 6:00pm that evening. The event is open to the general public to watch, enjoy, and participate in activities occurring throughout the day.
During Kick It For A Cause, eight kickball teams will compete for the title of the 2023 Kickball Champion. Eight local businesses stepped up to the plate this year to participate in the tournament, including: Bank of Tescott, Bennington State Bank, Equity Bank, First Bank Kansas, Great Plains Manufacturing, Kansas Wesleyan University, SalinaHomes.com, and Salina Regional Health Center. An official bracket will be announced this week on both organization’s Facebook pages for the public to see when certain businesses are playing and to come support.

We are grateful to The Yard for opening up their facility and all of the local businesses that have donated to play. We hope you guys come stop by, eat some tacos, watch some kickball and have fun!”
Outside of kickball games, American Family Insurance and Salina Area United Way will have other activities and entertainment at The Yard throughout the day for the community to come enjoy. Taco’s Food Truck, out of Merriam, Kansas, will be parked outside of The Yard for the Salina community to enjoy lunch or dinner at, all while supporting a good cause. Taco’s Food Truck will be donating 10% of the proceeds from the day of the event back to Salina Area United Way. Other activities include some great raffles and silent auction items for participants and the public to bid on throughout the day (stay tuned to Salina Area United Way’s Facebook page to see a sneak peek of the raffle and auctions items). Salina Homes will also have their snow cones mobile truck parked outside all day for the public to enjoy, with other entertainment and music at The Yard.
